Learning a language is difficult so it’s
necessary to practice a lot. The English at the university doesn´t have that.
So for that reason the real input to learn still coming from the student. Another
thing is that the classes aren´t as productive as the expected goal. And
sometimes the classes could be a little more dynamic, that motivates the
student to learn, things like games during blog or classes, or a rule that says
“only is allowed to speak in English”. Those were my comments about English IV
in the university.
The blogs work is a good idea, it helps the
student to improve his abilities, not only the language, also improve the
grammar and the vocabulary. But if there aren´t other stimulus sometimes, and
it becomes very boring and repetitive, even if the student is talking about
different things during the semester.
For my there’re many things to improve in
my English, of course, everything is perfectible. For example my grammar isn´t
very good, and neither my pronunciation, but at least I can understand and be understood
by another person speaking in English.
Outside the English class I don´t speak too
much in English, but I use the games and I watch movies with the English voices,
and I listen to music in English too, to not to forget about English in my
daily life. Sometimes I speak with my girlfriend in English for a while to make
things more dynamic, and get off the routine. And few times I used my English
to help some lost tourist.
