Favorite technological object

Post 3

My favorite technological object is the pen. Because it allowed in a beginning the use of writing, and writing is one of the most important things of the world, at least in my considering. Writing as the same of talking allows the transmission of thinking in a specific language and that’s the basement of our actual civilization. But in difference with talking, writing allows the transmission unchanged of the thinking between different people. That doesn’t always happen in talked transmission, because what normally happens is that people change words or versions or even the meaning of an expression. For other side, the pen allows me to transmit my thinking to another person or a group of people, also writing often helps me to explain myself to others. Another reason because the pen is my favorite technological object is because to have communication you don’t necessarily need to be present, actually what´s written with a pen can transcend even years or decades without the need of continuous repeating of the story as talked transmission. So, as a summary, pens allow writing, and writing is essential for our civilization, and that´s why it’s so important for us and that’s why the pen is my favorite technological object.

Why did I choose this career?

Why did I choose this career?

My career choice process started when I was studying in high school, specifically in second grade, because I had to chose my elective classes, so a teacher pushed me to select the scientific elective classes. He almost extorsioned me! The second point that influenced me in a big way, was when I was studying in third grade. Another teacher, a chemist, showed me the potencial of chemistry. The classes were so hard that I had to push myself to the next level, and in that moment I got in love with chemistry and I decided to study chemistry. Actually I always liked chemistry, but never until that year (third grade) I considered it like a real option. Now I’m studying this career to know more about this science, I would like to know all the things that could be learned about chemistry. I just love chemistry, And I hope to be a great chemist someday.

Blog number 1

First post

My name is Matias Carrasco, I was born on December 13th 1997, in Santiago. I live with my mother and my grandfathers, and also my dog in my house.
I studied primary at Francisco Bilbao School.  Later I passed secondary on Rafael Sanhueza Lizardi School, thing of what I’m very proud, because it’s an excellent school with a good formation. Now I’m studying chemistry at Universidad de Chile. So, I hope to be a chemist someday.
I like to do many things, but my favorite hobby is playing drums. I just love playing, when I’m on it everything feels all right, any problem that I could have disappear at the moment.
I also do karate in a gym near my house, there I put out all the accumulated stress, by getting exhausted. And I always got exhausted because I always push myself to the limit.
